Our Story

"Tea the moment is the act of choosing presence — slowing down, savoring the now, and letting a cup of tea be your invitation to connect with yourself and the world around you"

Yama Tea

Our Story

Yama Tea was founded to create something simple, honest, and grounding in a busy world. Yama Tea is run by our small family — Oliver, Cornelie, and our son Ville. We're born and raised in Copenhagen, but always been exploring the world. When Ville came into our lives, we felt a deeper need to slow down and truly be present. We became more aware of how constant distractions — especially screens — pull us away from each other. Tea became our daily ritual, a way to connect, pause, and just be together. Yama Tea grew from that — a wish to share presence, calm, and connection with others.

Yama Tea is built around the idea of “Tea the moment” — a gentle invitation to step away from constant distractions and be truly present. Our teas are 100% organic, carefully blended for quality and purity, supporting both well-being and the planet.

Tea has always been a way for us to pause, reconnect, and find calm. With Yama Tea, we bring together organic ingredients and mindful blends to help others slow down and be present. It’s what we call "tea the moment".

For us, tea is more than just a drink: its an opportunity to connect with yourself and the people and nature around you.

Our Mission

At Yama Tea, our mission is to help people reconnect — with themselves and with others. In a world where the average person spends over 6 hours a day in front of a screen, it's easy to feel distracted, disconnected, and overwhelmed. Studies show that real social connection and moments of presence are essential for our well-being. We believe tea can be a gentle antidote — a way to pause, to breathe, and to return to what matters. Every Yama blend is crafted to support that intention: to invite calm, spark conversation, and create space for simply being.

We invite you to "Tea the moment".
